Below you will find information regarding our upcoming club meetings, activities, & events. You are welcome to contact the Giles County ExtensionOffice to sign up/RSVP for any of these activities. We would also be happy to answer any questions!
Upcoming 4-H Events:
Monday,
March 31- Rich Creek 4-H Club Meeting at the Rich Creek Library beginning at
6:30pm. This growing club welcomes new members, youth ages 5-19 and their
families. In March members will get their hands dirty with a seed planting
activity!
Monday,
April 7- Narrows Now 4-H Club Meeting. Because of weather we did not meet in
February, so that means we will be having our LEGO build activity at our April
monthly meeting! We meet at the Narrows Community Center (old high school) at
6:30pm. Come one, come all and build with us!
Wednesday,
April 9- 4-H Teen Leadership Club Meeting. All Giles County teenagers are
invited to join our teen only club! Our April meeting will begin at 7pm at the
Giles County Extension Office in Pearisburg. In addition to discussing 4-H camp
training we will also be completing a community service project!
Friday,
April 18- The final “School’s Out” program of this school year is open for
registration no. The Friday event will be from 9am until 2pm. There is no
registration fee, but participants must call the Extension Office to sign up.
Location TBD. Activities will include spring crafts! Youth ages 7-13 are
welcome to attend. Please register by Wednesday, April 16 so enough supplies
can be made available.
Friday,
April 25- Newport 4-H Club Meeting. After a successful community service
project last month, this group is geared up to make a lasting impression on
their community. At the April meeting, that will be held at the Newport-Mt.Olivet UMC Church beginning at 7pm, participants will be learning about outdoor
skills (rope making) and also planting a tree in the neighborhood! All youth,
ages 5-19, and their families are encouraged to participate in this free
club/community group!
Monday,
April 28- Rich Creek 4-H Club meeting at 6:30pm at the Rich Creek Library. At
the April meeting, youth participants will be designing and building with
LEGO’s to make their own robotic creations! All youth ages 5-19 and their
families are welcome to join this 4-H Community Club.

4- 4-H Camp Scholarship Application due at the Extension Office- Available to download from office website.

11- Camp Open House/Registration at the Extension Office (9am-6:30pm)

12- Teen Counselor and Adult Volunteer Training at the 4-H Center
Jun
9- Pre-Camp meeting for all camp participants, parents and guardians. Tentative
Location: Pearisburg Community Center Cafeteria.
